betray & trust

Wallace had been betrayed by the nobles. Why he chose trusting them again?

It is hard to say. Because William needs the help of the noble of Scotland. Maybe he knows the noble will betray him. However, he has no choice but to have a try.

Still remember in the film The Count of Monte Cristo, when Edmond asked why his friend betrayed him, he answered” it’s complicated.”? Sometimes it’s really hard to say whether you should trust a man or not. Just like in nowadays, when someone beg to you , should you believe him and give him some money or you shouldn’t just ignore him? As for friends ,maybe there should be more trust. Wallace’s tragedy is anything but his fault. It’s really a tragedy if you feel you have no one to trust. He choose to trust them because he still believe there are good things in life.

Maybe he himself didn't believe them. But maybe his kindness made him to have a try.
